Filmefy: Hello Geekzoners,

We know that most of you are using local or global Netflix. We would like to introduce you a new tool we have developed, Filmefy.com

In short, Filmefy lets Netflix users search for movies and TV shows in all regions of Netflix. Besides that, Netflix users are able to search by using filters (search by genre, year, director and more) and create their own playlists.

Filmefy is free and can be used by anyone. For UnoTelly users, it gives the ability to change their Netflix region on Filmefy website and stream the title they want with few clicks regardless of the region that it's available.

We created this dedicated thread so you guys can submit your feedback and suggestions on what you would like to see on Filmefy.

Thank you!

Cheers,
Filmefy Team

Are you part of Unotelly?

Hi Turb,

Filmefy is created by the same team as UnoTelly but we are separate entities.

Cheers,
Filmefy Team

I'm curious about the business model?

Hi Turb,

We don't have a business model at this point.

Filmefy's mission is to allow to people to easily find in which region of Netflix the title they want to watch is available.

UnoTelly users will be able to enjoy the extra benefit of being able to change their Netflix region directly on Filmefy's website. Other users are also welcome to use Filmefy as a way to find contents they want to watch.

We understand that there are similar solutions on the market but we believe we will be able to build a better "mousetrap".

Cheers,
Filmefy Team

turb: What I really want is to be able to store a movie that ISN'T on Netflix and for your site to notify me if Netflix starts to run it in a region.

I'd be happy to pay something for that.

Interests: HTPC, Web App authoring.

Good luck with this initiative! I love Netflix but have always struggled to find out what is on offer.

This helps as I found Spy Kids 2 (not for me I might add)

Thank you Lostja! The truth is that Netflix's search function needs some improvements because on Netflix, you cannot apply a search filter other than genre. As a result, you keep scrolling to find something to watch. Filmefy can help in this :)

Also, if you don't know what to watch, take a look at the Filmefy playlists generated by our users. You can find plenty of content there!

Best regards,
Filmefy Team

You guys are awesome. I've been using Unotelly for a while now, and Filmefy is a fantastic tool. It integrates pretty well with unotelly and changing the country for Netflix. (Sometimes I have to restart the browser before Netflix changes to the correct country, but that's pretty minor)

It's interesting how there are some great shows which are not on the US or NZ versions, but in some obscure country like Chile, I would have never known if it weren't for Filmefy.

Filmefy + Netflix is the future of TV watching for me.

A Filmefy app for Windows 10 would be nice.

Thank you very much for your kind words! We are happy that you are enjoying Filmefy!

If you find any "hidden gem" on one of Netflix regions, feel free to share or even create your own playlist at Filmefy.

About your request for an app on Windows 10, I have passed it on our team. I will PM you if we have an ETA.

Hello Geekzoners,

We have added some new features today:

-Ability to filter by Netflix region
-Ability to filter by TV shows only
-Ability to filter by movies only

You are now able to search only for TV shows or Movies and also for titles on a specific Netflix region.

Also, Netflix Japan is supported to both UnoTelly and Filmefy! For more information, take a look on our blog bost: http://blog.unotelly.com/2015/09/attention-japanese-anime-lovers-netflix-japan-is-here-and-unotelly-has-it/

Please report bugs if you encounter any. Thanks!

Much better than the Sony TV app, I hate how that app you cant hit the browse to category, then sub category

can you change the amount of results to more than 18 on a page in filmefy? I like all results that just load as i scroll.

Hello TeaLeaf,

Your request has been passed to our devs. We will update you if this or an option to select how many results you want to appear on the results page become available.

Thanks!

Yeah that would be handy, I dont think my search is for everyone by default, but the option too would be good UX.

So far so good, havnt had a huge play but Ill get the Mrs to try and find a Rom Com later and see what she thinks.

One thing that I wish I could do on netflix that I cant do on the tool either is, get rid of stand up comedy out of Movies. I could be wrong but thought I saw some pop up.

Will this tool always be free?

Hi there,

Thanks for developing the site - it's a useful tool that will probably replace our use of similar sites.

While it's nice to have access to all the additional information your provide on a movie/programme, personally I find it a bit frustrating that the Netflix regions offering the item are lower on the screen, so require the user to scroll down. I'd love to see this at or near the top, as often this is the only piece of information I'm looking for (ie, so I know which region to switch to). Of course, this may not be an issue for most!

Hello TeaLeaf,

Yes, Filmefy will always be free.

About not showing results of stand up comedies, you mean you want the results not to appear when using the 'Comedies filter' ?

Thanks for your feedback Jonathan! That's a good suggestion. I have passed it to our devs and we investigate on how we can show the Netflix regions that a title is available without having to scroll down.

We want people to find the information they are looking for at Filmefy as easy as possible so such feedback is valuable for us!
