LennonNZ:
Make sure you find one with is 12V and 2W (or higher). Thats all it cares about. (Mine was a 3W)

Hopefully you really know the difference between amps and watts.

Are you sure none of the plugs supplied with this Jaycar power supply will fit? Prolly worth popping in to check fit before springing for an overseas one (if you're in a hurry and don't want to wait / pay for shipping):

I didnt have any great experiences with the Roku box that i owned, I had 2 of the best ones (Cant remember the model) Roku 3 or something.

Both had issues where the software would hang for a period or time and the earphones that it was advertised to come with were completely different. Wifi was extremely flakey on the device as well.

Anyway, I hope they have it sorted this time.

I actually had better luck with the Western Digital TV as i could set DNS on the device itself.

Nope but I have a US one that supports 110-230 on its way that should be here in a day or two.

I also took a punt and tried plugging it in with the supplied adaptor, no smoke or anything but the Roku doesn't complete boot up, displays the Roku page and then blanks the screen but the light on the device stays on.

Electrician will be no use to you unless they also deal in extra low voltage stuff. Appliance repair place would be a better bet.
