Although I realise that there's plenty to watch on NZ Netflix, when will it have all the content that is available on the USA and the UK Netflix etc? A while ago, I think it was SKY who mentioned that the NZ content of Netflix was quite limited and wasn't all that great.

rugrat: I guess that's why Netflix is making it's own content, so it can set the rules for that content and not be tied down by the rules others make for their content.
Others make the rules, yes that's very true, but surely Netflix if it buys its own exclusive content (it doesn't make the shows), it's also making its own rules?
MGM sells rights to a series, so you can only watch it on these services.
Netflix bought the rights to its "own" series, so you can only watch it on these services, which in this case is only Netflix.
Seems to me, NF is just doing what the "others" do, so it's also now "others". It just proves that exclusivity works
Is that why Netflix DVD releases are..... region encoded? Cos its just doing what others do to maximise its content value? Imagine if it released Stranger Things on DVD as an all-region set. Rather than just the usual geoblocked region specific formats that all other content distributors do.....
Just another profit maximising corporate citizen - go for the first-mover-advantage, then maximise profits. Strategy that has been used time and time and time again.

I can only think of two reasons
1. The rights have been sold to another local provider, who may be airing now, or plans to soon.
2. I am sure they correlate the eyes on the prime series. If NZ is doing well, and on a roll, they may hold back another prime show so that they can drip feed us good shows rather than run them concurrently. Maximise the eyes over time, not just right now?
