..... One side effect of this is I hope we will stop seeing these stupid archaic region-locked content deals and more globally available content. There is no need for that in this day-and-age, local content laws aside of course.

Agree. Being a retiring gay gentleman's household, we thought we would get more gay themed content with Amazon Prime, yea, only if you have a USA account and we can't be bothered with vpn just for that. Through Amazon Prime USA you can have sub-subscriptions to different content channels, gay themed being just one of many varying content types. The best gay themed productions come out of Europe & Scandinavia anyway so we are still stuck with buying them as DVD's off Amazon.

Little old NZ will get there one day, we hope.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Try Bosch on amazon. LAPD detective series. Season 6 just dropped. Tore through it in a matter of days. Really good story arcs and characters. Plus Bosch has the best view in LA!

Finewine, do you have DNS spoofer or whatever? I only ask as from what I have seen, Australia's "SBS" channel seems to have quite an eclectic offering. I haven't specifically looked for gay content, not my thing, but if it was going to be anywhere, I'd hazard a guess it will be there (same possibly for UKs Channel 4 or 5)

I can see how that would be frustrating, especially when other countries are readily available. I must admit, LGBT content is one area Netflix seems to have been growing their catalog the last couple of years, but I guess that it probably more mainstream stuff. The missus and I are big Drag Race fans, so it has been good having that available on Netflix.

TVNZ also seems to have a surprising amount of LGBT content as well, but again, probably more mainstream.

"Very Disappointed" is flat out unreasonable for a service with an introductory price of US$2.99 where you scored all the shows you watched as 6/10 or better. You deserve to be forced to watch Quickflix on Tivo for an equivalent length of time as an act of penitence.

A time-poor geek is hardly a geek at all
