I currently use YouTube, Netflix, Neon, Disney+, Curiosity Stream, TVNZ on Demand and Freeview.

Roughly 90% of our viewing is actually on YouTube. Their content is dynamic and often as fresh as the latest press release when talking about science, NASA, electric vehicles, politics, climate change and the environment. Or gaming. Of SciFi....the "Dust" channel is hundreds of short sci-fi films.

Everyone else has "canned" content that may be a year old by the time they actually publish it.

I'm on Neon because of Game of Thrones and was on Lightbox was bought by them and I got Lightbox to watch Handmaid's Tale.

Bit Torrent is looking more attractive (again) simply because it is easier to find content. One-search shop, so to speak. :-)

epr: You only need to get them when they have something you want to watch I would rather have all these streaming services than monolithic crappy Sky. I had Amazon free with 2degrees I find Netflix has enough new content to be worthwhile subscribing. I have Google music family and premium because I get 5 sharable family logins and ad free YouTube for the same price as Spotify family i will pick up Disney plus when they release new content i want and the same with Amazon.

Netflix piss me off because it's almost compulsory for characters to smoke in their shows. It's really off-putting. A sly way to get around advertising blocks on the cancer sticks.

They are still cancer sticks....and shame on Netflix for co-operating in that.

Agree, although isn't just Netflix. For All Mankind on Apple TV+ also had chain smokers. Can argue it was part of the culture/time, but given it was an alternative history and lots of other "inaccuracies" it wasn't something that had to be strictly followed.

Netflix piss me off for their obligatory Gay representation. Every.single.film... reminds me of the 80’s&90’s obligatory black character...

Why does literally every show have to have (most often irrelevant to the story) Gay statements just to prove they’re pro gay?

They just make all the shows with a check list, it started around the time of Stranger Things, that is why I seldom bother with Netflix originals anymore unless they are rebadged ones like The Last Kingdom or Still Game. Does every show have to have a bloody 80s chart topper song in it for Gen-x nostalgia purposes?

Benoire:

Now how to you track what is playing on these services, when new shows are released etc... what we need is a single interface to bring them all together with notifications and easy to see lists.

Try Justwatch.com

Its very good. You mark what services you have and will show you whats on. Does have TVNZ and 3
