freitasm: Basically it comes down to sale tax, so the recommendation is to use an Oregon or Delaware address.

New Hampshire also doesn't have sales tax, so I suspect that'll work as well.

Unblock-us works perfectly on Telecom - we ue it almost daily for Hulu and Netflix with no issues at all. Netflix even streams in HD (when the content is available in HD).

Unblock-us works perfectly on Telecom - we ue it almost daily for Hulu and Netflix with no issues at all. Netflix even streams in HD (when the content is available in HD).

Do you have a Static IP?

Me too although recently I have not been able to access the Netflix account page from a standard browser - get not in the US error. That is a transparent proxy issue.

But the clients like the PS3, my Xoom, Nexus One all work fine. This is on TCL.

But I have suspended my Hulu+ for the moment because I didn't think there was enough content for me to watch and pay for.

I am now looking at Amazon Prime. My daughter is studying in the US and will be signing up for Amazon Prime for her books etc. - 2 days shipping for free and since I am paying for it, I can use the account for their video content!

As a complete aside I had a $5.99 credit on Vudu that I had to use. I ended up watching a movie in 720P with Dolby Digital + on my PS3 on a Sunday morning. That streamed for 90 minutes in HD all the time with no buffering and drop in PQ. Still as a way to watch movies it's a bit expensive given you can rent the video for about $4 during a week day. And that's not including any potential Internet charges.

Vudu is great for the latest stuff. As soon as its out on DVD, its available on Vudu. Normally our Video stores in NZ still have a wait, and then you have to make sure you book it if you really keen on seeing it.

The missis watches the twilight saga, the latest movie is apparently going to be available this weekend on Vudu. Far earlier than any video shop as far as I know.

We use mostly Netflix, also on the PS3. I have actually put my Hulu account on hold as there is just no time to keep up with all of this content.

Guess it depends on how keen you are on seeing the movie as quickly as you can.

Roku can play all the content providers like Netflix, Hulu, , Amazon Prime and even has Angry Birds on it which plays very nicely on a large screen with their motion controller remote!

That's the one. I paid $79 I think from ebay. Picked it up on my last trip so no shipping costs.

I have just purchased an iTunes Gift card from them to test the email delivery, and received the code in less than a minute. And cheaper than what I was used to pay previously with another provider.

I'm waiting for them to come back in stock with spotify premium cards, love being able to just stream it on my phone and have them downloaded for offline playback, i can create a playlist on my computer and sync it straight on my phone for offline playback

Out of interest how is all this streaming affecting your caps? I have a 90GB plan with TCL at the moment but with all this streaming and long Skype video calls with my daughter in the US that's getting hammered.

Might have to look at moving to a provider who has better plans.

From what I have seen its roughly about 1GB per 100minutes of TV. Thats a very rough estimate as it depends if the show is in HD or not. Most of the stuff we are currently watching is SD.

We only watch one or two episodes a week, so on a 120GB this is the least of our concerns.

Not you directly, but in general it always surprises me though people who can go over 100GB by downloading content... Where can people find time to watch all this digital bits they are hoarding? Or is our family the only one that spends less than six hours a week in front of TV?
