I watched the All Blacks yesterday on Now TV, they charge £6.99 for a 24 hour pass, and £9.99 (I think for a week). Stream was HD, no dropouts on my BT infinity service, used the NZ broadcasting/commentary team. Used it last year for the All Blacks and for the CWC earlier this year.

Now TV lets you airplay to the tv too (presumably Chromecast is supported?)

I emailed Livesport.tv last year and they confirmed that they do not stream rugby in HD at all.

It was a great service when I was overseas and without live rugby on the TV networks over there.

If anyone has trouble logging in as if from Switzerland, first set up UnoTelly correctly and then wipe out the last hour's history/cookies etc from your browser. The livesport.tv site should then recognise the UnoTelly Switzerland setting and not NZ as the country.

Looks like allblacks.com also has feeds of the Rugby Championships games. I only just found it, so didn't try it with this weekends games. It says the link is active 24 hours before kickoff. Probably geo-blocked but worth a try.

They've just introduced a rolling monthly sub for GBP 31.99, which would be more economical than weekly for long tournaments. You just have to remember to cancel when you don't need it.

Edited to add - I think I heard on ZB Sport this afternoon that sports bars are going to only be allowed to show 8 games of the RWC, being the quarters, semis, finals, and 1 pool match of their choice. Unfortunately I had to turn off before they got in-depth about it. So another reason to find a good streaming option! I'm going to try ITV, I think.

Tabuti: I recently figured out how to get a pretty good stream for cheap.  Not as good as sky go but 10 times better than those free ones.  Can't guarantee how it will be for you but I'm more than happy with it.  I'm on ADSL & havn't had issues with it.  Will be getting Fibre soon which may even make it better!

Step 1 - Either get Unotelly or even easier Hola Unblocker (this can be turned on/off I turn it off when not using it for Rugby....) I use both as sometimes unotelly don't work.. Hola is free vs Uno costing money

Step 2 head to www.rugby.livesport.tv

Step 3 Select Switzerland in Hola Unblocker (or if using Unotelly you will need to set your Dynamo settings for Channel Option 4 to Switzerland)

Step 4 Sign up to a months subscription

Step 5 Watch the games.

This has worked for me and the Super 15.  It tells me they will have the internationals & hopefully the World Cup. www.rugby.livesport.tv/promo/rugbygeo is a list of what they will be streaming

What I then do is mirror my pc to my Fire TV via AirPinPcSender & vola rugby on the telly :)

Costs about $10 per month for the live sport sub & Unotelly is even cheaper.  There is nothing you can do to test if it will work for you until you take the plunge and pay for a subscription but it worked for me & now I don't have to pay for Sky :)  I can also use it at friends places after downloading Hola..

The livesport site looks like it hasn't been updated for years but the games still play!!!

Enjoy!!!!!

I tried this out last night for the ABs match through my htpc. We already have unotelly.

You can pay by credit card or PayPal, the US $6.99 sub renews unless you stop it. They have all the upcoming Rugby Championship games listed.

The stream came from the Aussie Fox Sport network, with kiwi commentary. I was worried I'd be watching it in Spanish!

It did freeze a couple of times for a 2-3 seconds but I'll put that down to our useless <6mbs ADSL. On the LOW setting the quality was not quite as good as Prime. I couldn't try the other settings as it froze straightaway.

Still, they were stringing UFB along the power poles in my street yesterday so looking forward to seeing what the high quality is like.

On the basis of what I saw last night, I'll keep my subscription going during the season.

For the RWC I'm expecting ITV's official stream via unotelly will be the best bet.

So having paid my subscription I'm looking at the livesport website for tonight's allblacks game, and it's nowhere to be seen. Feeling a bit ripped off right now. Is it working for anyone?

Worked for me fine.
If you had only just changed your Unotelly settings you may need to clear history etc & give it a minute or 10? Stuff like that should help

I watched the game on the free weekly pass on FanPass and it was okay. Dropped out a few times and sometimes the picture was really poor, but the majority of the game appeared to be in hi-def. I probably would have been a bit miffed about it if I'd paid $15 for a day pass, but since it was free I was pretty happy. I'm on VDSL with a download speed of around 35Mbps, and was able to stream Netflix full quality at the time the game broke up, so I don't think my connection was the issue. It seemed to be mainly after 9pm that there were frequent issues.

If you have an Apple TV, set the store to Australia and have unotelly set up. You can watch a replay of last nights game on the fox sports app. No subscription required. Only downside is the Aussie commentary.

Thats a large downside! The commentary is part of the experience for me, but cheers for passing the info on.
