Yep, its so damn annoying when I want to watch a comedy movie I get hit with rusty peters, dont get me wrong, I like him, but when I wanna watch something dumb and funny i want a movie. So I click only movies filters but im still getting stand up comedy shows. But its the same problem on Netflix.

Sometimes I give up on watching comedies because I cant find a high rating movie that isnt stand up comedy and i go to action instead :-)

Hehe I liked this comment <3.

We are trying to reveal content to our users according to what their preferences. However, it will take us few more time to make this feature perfect.

In the meantime, please try this:

  1. On our homepage, press the search button (magnifier) without typing anything.
  2. It will lead you to this page: https://www.filmefy.com/search?q=&type=all . There, click on "Genres" and "Comedies"
  3. After that, click on "Filters" and select "Movies Only". Please do these steps in this exact order.

This way, you will be able to see only commedies movies. Please let me know how it worked for you.

Thanks!

Yes that works, thats what Ive been doing. But as soon as you want to filter by imdb ranking it adds the stand up comedies back in again.

Unless some are listed as movies for some stupid reason. But I dont think so, I think its meta data is mixed up.

It would be good to see the IMDB rating under the movies as well, always a hint of whether something is rubbish.

That's a good suggestion about IMBD rating under movies.

About the filters, please try to add them in this order: Genres.Comedies > IMDB Rating > Movies only. That may work for you. We know that it is not the easier way but we are trying to improve it

the missus was complaining last night that it only shows a limited number of results per page and she got bored after 2 pages.... is there a filter to "show all" results of a search ? not just 12 or 18 per page..

What would be a nice feature is a recently watched section, (which you could chose to show on the homepage). Similar to what Netflix has with it's continue watching section.

Basically it would just show the last 5 or 6 shows you clicked on.

Oh man I click on 30 films before I find one I like ;-p

Do you know add them to your playlist? You can remove them from your playlist once you have watched them.

Another idea I had, sub genres like in NetFlix. I love adventure action, and historical action like ancient history.

TeaLeaf: Much better than the Sony TV app, I hate how that app you cant hit the browse to category, then sub category

can you change the amount of results to more than 18 on a page in filmefy? I like all results that just load as i scroll.

Hello,

You are now able to see more than 18 results in the search pages! Use the "Items per page" filter to set how any results you want to see.

Cheers

Yep I noticed filmefy. Good work.

Not to sound ungrateful but whats with the random numbers (I mean I get the math of it, but whats wrong with 50/100/200/300 etc), I presume there is a reason but is a bit WTF from UX perspective haha.

Liking it.

Still getting squashed up icons for some movies, any idea of the cause? kind of offsets the page layout as well.

Keep doing the good stuff, thank you.

Hello TeaLeaf,

Glad that you like it!

About the squashed up icons, does it happen randomly or on specific titles? If you experience the issue with specific titles, please provide them to us:)

Great service .A good idea would be to have imdb and rotton tomatoes reviews linked on the page other than having to opening a new tab and searching for the movie review.
Also Im thinking of getting appletv, does filmefy have an app for it, I assume that would be needed for  it to work?
