I've just set up an account with DNS4me (something I've been meaning to do for ages) and an account with rugbypass (which worked fine using a NZ credit card and a generic Hong Kong address).

I have set up DNS to use Hong Kong to access rugbypass. I can log in and it tells me the Highlanders game is about to start.

I am going to watch the Highlanders game to see what the quality and experience is like.

I will report back.

Having just ditched Sky I'm really hoping this works.....

How much is it?

I've just watched it on espn3 via sling tv for 20USD per month (plus Unotelly). Was a great match but only okay quality this time. Other matches have been good HD.

Interests: HTPC, Web App authoring.

That was an enjoyable experience.

Hooked up a Windows 10 laptop to the TV (connected to wireless - I only have ADSL).

It started streaming straight away and if I had to guess I'd say the resolution quality was around 720. Only one minor stutter in the first half, so overall a positive experiment.

I have the 7 day free trial with DNS4me and the 30 day free trial to rugbypass.com and at this rate I'll be subscribing to both.

You can watch games that have already finished on demand as well, so you don't have to be there for the live broadcast.

Funny thing is, if Sky offered up rugby and rugby league for $25 month I'd be happy to pay them, but they don't, so - oh well.....

I just used www.rugbypass.com and chose the Hong Kong server.

My PC needed a reboot before it stopped showing the geoblocked message.

Thanks that worked. I didn't put www wouldn't have thought that would have made much difference.

Do you mean the unotelly Hong Kong DNS server, or VPN server?

I'm using DNS4Me - in their console I entered the domain www.rugbypass.com and selected the Hong Kong server next to the domain.

If you have sky sport, the NZ watchespn site and app seem to be streaming the super rugby (you need a sky account to log on). I'd recommend this over streaming through sky go. It's more reliable I've found and has AirPlay support.

I wonder why that is? Why Super Rugby is under the ESPN platform, I thought Watch ESPN was only for ESPN broadcasted content? but not complaining, the quality is really good!
