Johnboy1234: I am stuck on step 2 of 3 steps to transfer my CASPA wallet to Quickflix, when I hit confirm to go to step 3 the same page keeps coming up. Is their website broken?

Will get this looked in to now.

It's FrankenCASPA - reanimated with new skin! Makes you realise how useless Hybrid are to not have been able to make a streaming business model work. It's still slow and hard to read on a 32in, but I'll actually use it just because it has affordable content

The tale of signup and usage so far:

Went to www.quickflix.co.nz/tivo and signed up
Signed in to mytivo.co.nz
Closed CASPA wallet
Selected "If you simply want to connect your TiVo media device to a new or existing Quickflix account, click here."
mytivo offered to connect 2 devices
then redirected to quickflix and only had the option to select 1 device
finally got the option to enter a pin to confirm a download
No blue light however and My Playlist/My Queue doesn't show anything :(

Kinda frustrating to see all the content they get in Aussie but not here

A time-poor geek is hardly a geek at all

First report in.

This from a someone who loves their TiVo and is rather pleased to see new services coming its way. It seemed to be destined for the scrap heap. It is an incredibly underrated PVR. What could have been though...?

So, my 2 cents.

Sign Up:

The sign up process was relatively painless. Integration with both my TiVo units was very clean having both being able to use Quickflix on the same account. (Bedroom TiVo & Lounge Room TiVo)

Utilising the MyTiVo site was good. Well done on the refreshed front banner. It makes it abundantly obvious that it is new and available.

Kudos on the integration with the TiVo site guys. Nice.

The Interface Look & Feel:

Much the same look and feel as the previous CASPA interface but with content ;) Resolution of images seems average and can be a little hard to make out but the contrast of the actual text against the black background makes it nice and easy to read. If I had to hazard a guess, the lower quality images relates to improving performance and loading times.

Interface Performance:

Again, much the same as CASPA. Looks and feels much the same as CASPA but with a new coat of paint and maybe the performance is slightly improved. It is laggy. Not painfully so like I found CASPA to be, but you have to be patient with your directional clicks and selects.

Downloading:

As I type this, the unit has just finished downloading The Incredibles. As a test on my Ultra Fibre 100 connection, I wanted to get a feel for how quickly it would download 1GB. It's not mind blowingly fast but you'll have no problems streaming it if you have a fast connection. Note: My TiVo is hardwired into my network with 100Mbit switch and 100Mbps downstream.

The Perks!

If the addition of actual content, compared to CASPA isn't enough, the 2 MONTHS FREE AND 1x FREE MOVIE DOWNLOAD is! Get in to it!

I'd love to see some HD content if it can be delivered.

Well my 2 cents worth is, I cannot connect my tivo box to the quickflix account, I have even paid for 1 months subscription and had email confirmation of that, plus I didn't get my 2 months free sub. I have even had the quickflix guy telling me he is helping, but still unable to download anything off quickflix. It says I have no devices registered, but when I transferred my CASPA account I ticked my device. So blow me, I dunno what to do. There is nowhere in my quickflix account to enter a tivo box.

Was simple to set up - although lots of questions

Was able to start viewing whilst is downloaded in the background

I have my TiVo wireless and not a glitch with it background downloading

However SD quality is quite noticeable vs the HD we get on TV

be nice to get something in between - like DVD quality

Watching White House Down right now. Great service so far, easy to set up. The Caspa wallet had money which was there when I set it up, so donated it, that was a great idea. Shame it doesn't have captions. - is that something that can be done Mr Quickflix?

Having some unusual activity with my Bedroom TiVo. That's on the WiFi. Will report back but it doesn't appear to want to download the items I've selected. It gets through the process without issue but won't download it. No errors appearing.

Note: this is unit 2 of 2 in the house. Unit 1 has no problems downloading.

Same problem I had!

So I went and paid as my wee boy is so upset I can't download ELMO for him, but when I connect to quickflix via my Tivo box and try and download ELMO it says an account is required, which I have.

But how do I connect my tivo box to Quickflix, there is nowhere I can see in my quickflix account. I need to enter a number like this one I assume.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the interest today / tonight - most of you seem to be up and running, which is great. We'll keep monitoring and deal with any teething issues asap and Nathan is on this thread and is here to help you all as well - feel free to drop him an email if you're having any trouble. We're very excited to continue our roll-out onto new devices. In fact, we'll have news of another major device launch in the next day or two, so stay tuned for that one too.

And JayJay was asking for more documentary content - watch out over the next few days for some news on that front too!

Okay - tried again and got Lounge Tivo linked, but bedroom failed. However when I went back and checked again, both seemed to be linked. Now downloading on Bedroom device, so I think all is go.

Does your bedroom tivo happen to have a new folder called Quickflix that has your downloaded content in it?
