Hi

I've been having an issue with Netflix on my ps3 today. Twice today I've watched one movie or an episode and then everything I've tried to watch has said that its not available in my region.

The first time (early this afternoon) I just shut the PS3 down and all was fine tonight. Its happened again, shutdown the ps3, was still no good.  Flushed the DNS cache on my router, rebooted and I'm back on.

Is it worth me logging my dns next time it happens incase there is a rogue server there that is still geo blocked?

Can you restart your PS3 and try again?

Hi, I'm really liking this service but at the moment I am having trouble getting through to amazon and Netflix. I get a connection timed out error. The sites work if I disable the service from the user console (they are Geo blocked of course). Not sure if its just me, I'm on a Mac, using chrome and have the NZ and Sydney servers set as dns. It was working fine last night.

Actually, I tried it aging now from a different network and its working fine. Not sure if it was the network or the dns.

Hi n0exit

you might need to clear your cache, or restart your device.  you should also check that your IP address hasn't changed if you goto https://dns4me.net and login you will see a big red bar at the top if your network has changed.

Hi Guys

I have just added, an API URL for the hosts file generator, with this you can auto download the latest hosts file for your device.
To get the URL, if your already signed into dns4me you need to sign out (we made some session changes) then sign back in, goto the host file generator and you should see a blue button that says ""Show Raw Hostfile API URL", pulling this url should give you your unique host file in plain text.

Thanks
Jason k

Interestingly, if I try and view TV3 videos on a PC (I have a few to try on) the video never loads, but it works fine on a mobile device.

Assume these go through the service?

Hi ajobbins

The "Showtime Anytime" service and "9 Jump in" service shares the same domains as TV3 so if one of these is enabled it will send TV3 to the wrong country.
I would say Showtime is enabled on your account, disable this and it should be all good.

Thanks

Just checked, don't have any of those enabled. Only enabled are Netflix, Hulu+, abc (US), Disney Channel and Disney JR, MTV and Nickelodeon, BBC iPlayer, TVNZ and TV3,

Tho I have just seen the TV3 one doesn't say it supports 'Web Browser' only 'iOS' (Tho it seems to work on my Android)

Hi
I've been trying dns4me for over a week now and really liking it so far.
The only thing I've noticed is that "Demand Five" is not working on Xbox one. Is it supported? I've also tried "4oD" and it seems to be working well.

Cheers
Dennis

Hi Dennis

We don't have an Xbox One to try it out (could be a good excuse to buy one), if your up to the challenge you can enable dns logging, then restart your Xbox one and open up the demand5 app, refresh the logger after a minute and you should see all the domains its trying to access override the ones that look like they belong to demand5 (to the UK server) restart the Xbox and see if its working once you find the culprit domain let me know and ill add it to the service.

Thanks
Jason k
