sounds like she signed up for 24 hours rather than 1 week (so the code did not work).

I thought fanpass was great.  worked well

jonherries: I watched the All Blacks yesterday on Now TV, they charge £6.99 for a 24 hour pass, and £9.99 (I think for a week). Stream was HD, no dropouts on my BT infinity service, used the NZ broadcasting/commentary team. Used it last year for the All Blacks and for the CWC earlier this year.

Now TV lets you airplay to the tv too (presumably Chromecast is supported?)

Jon

My Now TV apps (Roku 3 & Xbox 360 & Unblock US) both suffer from terrible buffering when played on the 42 and 50 inch TV's .. had to watch this weekends match on the PC as I discovered late Friday Windows 10 doesn't se my TV as a projector whereas I am convinced Windows 8 did :( (and no out signal from my Dell all in one) .. don't mind paying but do want to stream to my TV in reasonable quality .. any ideas greatly appreciated (I am looking at ITV player (on the Roku 3) for the world cup (free to air), but now scared it will buffer as well.

FYI ... 2 degrees 100/20 plan (and get close to it on speed test) but I do have issues with Xbox live staying connected and Xbox streaming speeds (but nothing else).

How was everyone else's streaming experience of the weekends game? What worked, What didn't, and big screen or small?

I've been using www.rugby.livesport.tv
See info on the last couple of pages on how to set it up, it's simple, and cheap.

I'm very happy with it. The video and audio quality is great. Stable with no drop outs.
Not sure if the world cup games can be watched on this platform, but I certainly hope so.

I am in Greece at the moment and used a standard L2TP vpn on my ipad for the all blacks on the weekend which worked fine.

I used Sky Go on a PC connected to 46" screen.  I'm only on a 4.5mbps ADSL connection, and while it started really badly, the main game was pretty good quality (not hd, but on that speed network I'll never get top HD quality).  No glitches or anything that I noticed.

I was going to say shocking quality (at the same time i was was getting speeds of 100 down and 20 up (https://www.speedtest.net/result/4591289228.png) ) but finished typing things up and flicked back to see this really good stream of the Holden cup replay :)... so a quick edit.

Watching on my Dell 23inch all in one.. originally getting pixelated quality .. even switched over to the Sky UK - Sport (NOW TV) to compare and the UK site looked a lot better... until the quality improved.

It was very watchable .. but definitly needed that minute or two (as mentioned) for quality to improve... Just wish they had a TV, Xbox, WDTV app to go along with it, then I would be first in line (I hate messing around with trying to send things between devises .. but might have to try a sceen mirror from my tablet tomorrow). All I really want is to get a good quality (not best but an acceptable (watchable) level) stream to my TV... (i.e. NOW TV (Sky UK) App on Roku 3 and Xbox ... if I could just get the settings right to stop the buffering)

As for the passes an 8 day pass might be a winner (2 Saturdays smile)

Does anybody know what sites will be streaming the world cup games?
I just got confirmation that http://www.rugby.livesport.tv/ doesn't have the rights to show the games, which is disappointing, as I was very happy with their site.

Aw I was wondering about livesport. Time to cancel the sub.

I'm pinning my hopes on unotelly + ITV.

Interests: HTPC, Web App authoring.

Likewise.  Plus the quarter-finals*, semis* and finals on Prime.

* Applies only to games in which the ABs are playing.
