Johnboy1234: Well my 2 cents worth is, I cannot connect my tivo box to the quickflix account, I have even paid for 1 months subscription and had email confirmation of that, plus I didn't get my 2 months free sub. I have even had the quickflix guy telling me he is helping, but still unable to download anything off quickflix. It says I have no devices registered, but when I transferred my CASPA account I ticked my device. So blow me, I dunno what to do. There is nowhere in my quickflix account to enter a tivo box.

I think you have to start from the mytivo end, try again from there. I got my 2nd Tivo connected with another attempt

2nd tivo has blue light, 1st does not. Looks like I'll have to scratch around old caspa troubleshooting convos from 4 years ago to smooth out the wrinkles

It looks like it uses Caspas interface, skinned black, so is quite laggy to use. One thing I noticed that is missing compared to Caspa , is that there is no preview / trailers available.

Gah don't do that :p

I'm happy to help with the TiVo specific issues, just remember I can't help with account et al things.

All working now, I started from scratch again from the TIVO website and this time it worked.

Though no sign of my 2 months free subscription in my account, just the month I paid for :-(

I signed up last night, it all went smoothly - transferred the $2.30 from my Caspa account to QF, signed up for the free trial and 1 free pay movie, fired it up on the Tivo. Just like that. It is a wee bit laggy on the Tivo, but once you get the hang of pushing the button and waiting for the response, it works well enough. Had a browse through, downloaded and watched a TV episode, downloaded a couple of movies to watch in the next few days.
Will be good to have a wee download spree, and load it up with some movies to entertain the kids. And if I don't give them the QF PIN, they need to get me to download anything they want to watch as there's a bit of content there that's not age appropriate for a 12y/o which he would probably watch if he had the chance when I wasn't looking...

I have seen some here say it's a bit laggy, that would seem to be an understatement it is unacceptably laggy.

I gave my TiVo units a restart yesterday.  The first in quite some time.  I do see an improvement in performance, albeit a small one, compared to CASPA.

Hi KiwiNZ, could you give me some times to define the lag you have?

A couple of other questions for the mix, are you on WiFi, and oddly enough what are all of your router DHCP settings?

There is a little lag in the UI as was in CASPA, but lag to the level of 'click - go make a coffee' 99.9% of the time came down to customers home network settings

I will post some benchmarks a little later comparing other devices such as my TV

I never used CASPA so can't compare but I find the GUI quite sluggish to scroll through as well, not unusably slow just irritatingly slow.
Is there an option to have it list the content in a text only list instead of the grid with large pictures? I'd rather see twice as many program names on screen than pictures of a tv series I've never seen before.

Hi Amosnz, same thing, could you let me know your network setup, and as it's still early here in Sydney, I forgot to ask KiwiNZ as well, could you pm me your TSN, and I'll have a look at the TiVo side of things from my end.

Tivo is wired into a gigabit switch. I'm on VDSL2 here (64mbit down, 10mbit up) for internet.
DHCP is done by the PPPOE router, just the standard 192.168.1.xxx subnet for my network.  If you want anything more specific let me know.  Will PM my TSN now.

It's Great that we have a more up to date and larger range of movies.

I found that trolling through the selection of movies a bit of a chore as scrolling is slow

Is there a facility to select your Movie On line  using MyTiVo instead ??

When viewing the selection, I found only the selected cover is really visible the rest are dimmed to the extent you cant really see what they are unless you scroll to them or crank up the brightness on the TV.

I will get a bit more used to the interface, however I find I tend to give up rather that scroll through however many there are.

This! Being able to push from the website rather than pull from the Tivo would be a huge plus! With the added bonus, that I could drop a movie down to it from work and have it waiting when I get home (or let the kids watch it before I get there).
