The UI has been tidied up, dead air tidied up. I cant speak for a PC or Android, but iPad native or casting or air playing, rMBP with Safari or Chrome is buttersmooth. Although I got an error when trying to Airplay on Safari . Casting on Chrome is fine.

Main stickler for me is lack of a fix to 18:9 android app screen cut-off albug which was reported (and hasn't been fixed since) day one and the fact some things work great one day but then broken the next (stream / chromecast for example).

**Personally** totally understand it's beta so people who's free subs are ending have to make a choice....
- Pay for spark sport sub, miss coverage if it breaks.
- Don't pay & watch via 'other means' to ensure reliability. Spark lose you as a tester (& sub income).
- Spark extend free trial, keep beta testers & potential repeat monthly $ sub customers.

you seem to be one of the only ones having this issue, sure its not your setup? something on your phone causing it to crash?

Maybe tomorrow its not beta?

maybe but personally shouldnt be changing it, nor making people pay in the middle of a race series

Nope stock standard Nokia 7.1 plus to Nvidia shield TV, network is fully wired apart from phones which are on a unifi lr ac access point; rest of network is on unifi switches.

again it could be the sheild or something on your phone, i havent had a crash, and heaps of people have had good experience so its defiantly something at your end thats the problem.

what it is who know but maybe remove casting from the scenario and see if its any better

Then I lose elemts of the screen due to the screen size bugs and my laptops do not have the connections for my TV. Bluntly it is only this app that does this and all others are fine so I out my money on the app having issues rather than an android one device

you laptop can have chrome on it and cast from there....

im just trying to help you find what the issue is, it could be the app but lots of others dont have the problem. ruling out your sheild would help narrow that down, as would casting from the player in chrome.

Just lost the stream as the interviews started annoying to say the least. App was running and chrome cast connected but pause /play didn't do anything.

Is anyone else in this thread casting to a shield?  And not a chromecast?  I know there are a few that are IOS to chromecast (me and tdgeek), and assume there's a couple on android to chromecast.   I assume spark has testers of most of the combinations, but a shield may not be one of them given it's not sold locally in nz (just speculating possible differences).

Same for me. Better work tomorrow without fault. As I’m starting to pay for it now as by trial up tomorrow.

Sheilds are sold by pbtech now and have been for a while now

while a shield supports chromecast its not a chromecast, hence asking you to try and eliminate some variables to try and narrow down where the issue is
