My Mazda has Pandora integration... so that will be useless soon.

I strongly doubt any car manufacturers will put any effort into updating a sale that has already been made.

That is what i think as well, most will say "you have bluetooth music to use"

I will miss pandora in my car as the interface was easy and had buttons for like/dislike.

Didn't even realise I had a Pandora account until I got the email... Must have signed up half asleep at some stage. Bye, Pandora.

I got the email as well, and this spurred me on to try something. Even though we are still getting US ads, our account looked like it was an NZ one as it had our actual post code; it wouldn't let me change this to a non-NZ post code.

So I created a new account but used a US post code, which it accepted. It also won't let me switch the code to an NZ post code. This was done while using Getflix's DNS, but will this be enough to have enabled me to set up a US account, or will it still stop working at the end of the month?

If this doesn't work, is another option to have someone in the US create an account on your behalf, and use that here?

Subscriber since ages, annoyed somewhat. Already use Getflix for other stuff, changed ZIP code easily enough - it stuck because I now get emailed concert suggestions for [someplace in the USA], I'll see if it keeps playing after July 31st.

In order to get the right answer, one must ask the right question

Email just received from Getflix:

Hi there,

Pandora Internet Radio recently announced that Pandora is closing the service for its Australian and New Zealand users focussing on the expansion of their core business in the United States. The service will become unavailable for listeners in Australia and New Zealand by 31 July, 2017.

If you happen to be a music lover and the loss of Pandora is a major setback, please do not despair. Getflix is here to help - you will not to lose even a single note from your favourite Internet radio service.

Getflix will continue to provide you Pandora access!

As you are well aware, many services are geo-restricted which makes them impossible to be accessed from outside of their operating territory. Those location limits do not only concern video streaming platforms like HBO, Amazon Video, Hulu, BBC or Netflix they also apply to audio streaming services such as Pandora. However, thanks to our Smart DNS and VPN connections, you will be able to enjoy your music no matter where you are from any device.

It works exactly the same way as it works with video streaming platforms. Our services enable you to mask your IP with the Smart DNS technology so that the Pandora servers do not see it as coming from the area which is not eligible for streaming. It’s fast, effective and practically effortless. All you need to do is use our DNS servers to be able to access any content otherwise blocked for your location.

Check the information about our DNS servers here.

Save up to 54% with our 24-month subscription plan! ($2.29 a month)

Another solution is to use our VPN service and connect via an encrypted tunnel to the server in the country of the origin of the service. Your connection will be private, secure and kept away from the prying eyes of everyone on the net, including your local ISP. Our Full VPN is a free, optional service for all paid Getflix subscribers so you can benefit both from unlimited access to geo-blocked video services and audio streaming platforms.

No loss. I kept getting remix versions of songs supposedly from the artist I'd chosen to play which pissed me off, especially after playing different versions of the same songs three times in a row.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

Yes Pandora working on the echo fine with no ads and have not been billed again. Google home however hates Pandora in NZ.

I'm hoping that the echo keeps the link as I like to use Pandora while I read before bed as background music.

My Pandora is still working in NZ with a VPN.

Used it in my car today, on iphone, with "VPN-Master-faster" app. Just plays US adverts now, All my stations with all my preferences still available.
