I just resurrected my Hulu+ account having put it on suspend for a couple of months. This post prompted me to try a different CC (I was using a US one). I switched to a standard ANZ Visa card and it worked fine. But I guess I won't really know for sure until they bill me in a couple of days but the card itself was accepted as the payment method.

Slightly OT but I ditched my GlobalPlus Gold card which I was using for Netflix and had planned to use for Hulu+ because BNZ changed the reward levels requiring me to go to Platinum and pay more. So I signed up for ANZ's platinum Airpoints card which has lower fees, better rewards in terms of Air Points and works for Hulu+.

Quick question @freitasm, when you signed up to Hulu with your Airpoints card, did you just put any number in the zip code field?

I get an error saying zip code doesn't match billing address of credit card. I'm aware most NZ cards won't work, but does the Airpoints card have a particular zip code associated with it? Or did you just put in 90210 or something?

I used my Airpoints card last week for Hulu Plus and zip code 90210 worked for me

Not the best time to join Hulu as most of the new seasons have just wrapped up (well the shows we watch anyway).

Good point. Although nothing on at the moment so would be a good time to binge out on something I haven't seen before.

As I noted earlier in this thread I am using a ANZ Visa card fine. I did use a US address but that is not the billing address of the card.

I usually suspend my sub every now and then when there is nothing to watch.

Hey I'm a bit confused after reading through many topics.

Am I right to say that if you have signed up to Netflex and the NZ CC you use in the trial is accepted you're fine? Or can you still come undone when it comes to billing?

Cheers.

Finally got my onesmart card activated and setup. But, still can't start my free hulu trial with it. Still get the billing address/zipcode error.

Did you guys set up anything else on the onesmart card? Did you have to credit your account before starting the hulu trial?

Yep i got an error for not having funds in the onesmart card, so I topped up my onesmart and transferred it through to the USD wallet. Hulu doesn't charge the card at the start of the trial, but does check for sufficient funds

Awesome, thanks for that! Man, such a mission to get content the (somewhat) legal route!
