What a game. And well done to Spark. Watching on Kodi on my laptop connected to wifi at a random AirBnB and not 1 hitch. Ka Pai.

Sam91:

The stream has been freezing briefly every few seconds for most of the second half. The first half was fine, so was the whole England vs Aus game.

• LG 2019 Smart TV (using the app)
• Ethernet
• Gig fibre

Most likely an app issue?

Forgot to mention, the boys at work are over in Aussie and streamed the game via a spark mobile roaming over there - worked great apparently!

I think so too, was at a friends house watching on the same set up. Had the same freezing. The I put it on my phone via skinny 4G data, and I was over a minute a head. I think some of the tv apps have trouble purging the ram used so after watching the same stream for a while it starts freezing.

Kudo's to Spark also, worked flawlessly at work on the big screens. Hasn't dropped a beat at work the entire tournament.

they had enough complaints that they put the second half on Duke, you have to remember Geekzone members are not the demographic that will have problems.

perhaps, but it tells you the issue isn’t necessarily with Sparks service.

No issues at my place, even as I was streaming something else at the same time for the first 10 minutes.

it doesnt matter whos fault it is, the outcome is that  a lot of people paid money to Spark and they couldnt watch the RWC. i said at the beginning it is going to be a problem for the average Rugby fan who doesn't even know what casting is and it seems to be the case.

Perfect on AppleTV4 via Spark fibre. The only thing that glitched was the halftime ads and studio bit, so didn’t care. Kinda glad I wasn’t relying on a WebOS app on my LG TV.

100/20 fibre + cat 5 + spark sport sideloaded to nvidia shield = flawless

So yeah - cant help but think the poor quality streams for some is related to their specific setup...sh*te wifi/app etc.
