Any idea how RWC this weekend will look like?

Spark Sport is 1080p/60

TV1 is 1080i/25    (50 interlaced)  I think?

Theoretically SS should be better as 60 full frames vs 50 half frames?  Although how well TV1 does their encoding may help?

When they had that first game on Duke, for me the SS stream hands down looked better, although the 5.1 audio on the Duke broadcast was nice. I would watch on SS for sure given the choice.

Exactly what I was wondering plus, will the TV 1 feed be 30 seconds ahead of the SS stream?

I'm sick of getting texts from my kids on their OE in the UK about a try or incident before I have even seen it on Spark Sports "live" stream.

I was thinking that too.

I will test on SS, TV1 via  Sky, and TV1 via Panasonic BWT720/Freeview Terrestrial (lovely picture)

Eeek! I'm going to be in Melbourne for the RWC final. I don't imagine pubs will be showing it given Aus are out now, and they prefer other sportsball games anyway. Mind you, if we dont beat England I wont be much interested either.

Did I read somewhere that I wont be able to use SparkSport over there?

Correct. That said, have a quick check if your router supports VPN tunnel termination.

you could also use the superior kayo sports while over there too, just need an aus mobile number for the initial verification

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Tracer:

A lot of people never put a UHF antenna up when VHF broadcasts stopped because Sky and/or streaming filled their needs.

Streaming didn't exist.

Rabbit ears was an option though. IIRC that could be ok, or not, YMMV

Streaming didn't exist in 2013? Netflix was already huge by then. TVNZ ondemand was launched in 2007.

What you said : check if your router supports VPN tunnel termination.

What I heard : blah blah blah blah blah blah

It's a Vodafone Ultrahub, maybe someone knows if it supports VPN tunnel termination.
