I want to purchase some wireless earbuds for running and would welcome any feedback - happy to pay between $200-$300.

I love my beats. They are expensive but awesome for running and working out with.

I brought some Jabra Sport Pace earbuds recently to pair up with with my newish Tomtom sports watch. They were about $150 at Noel Leeming. I'm quite happy with the sound, plenty of bass :-)

Almost all wireless buds still have a wire between each ear. I found this way more annoying for running than I thought I would (I had a cheap pair though). I came across these the other day when feeding my Kickstarter addiction; might be worth a look if you want to go really wireless.

I'd recommend the Meizu MZ-EP51. Cheap, has excellent sound and sits in the ears very nicely. Very impressed with my pair.

@tripp of this parish has the Bragi Dash. Haven't had the review post yet though!

They seem to be getting more common; google turns up a few different results.

And Plantronics but they have the shortest battery life,so they live in my work bag as spares.

The Jabra are excellent for the price, but not waterproof.

That is correct I do have bragi dash headphones.
Up to my 2nd pair however the first ones did not like the pool at all. However the exchange was not to bad (did cost $50 to send the faulty ones back) but had the replacements in about 2 weeks.

Overall they are nice, however better for the gym if you are planning to use Bluetooth from your phone. I have found going for a run and trying to use Bluetooth is pointless as the phone needs to be close to the headset when outside (I am talking on the arm, you might be lucky to be able to keep it in your right pocket of your pants but forget about the left pocket). You can put music on the dash however for offline play back (it has 4gb of storage on them).

The latest firmware has also doubled the volume of them. I am hoping they can up the power to Bluetooth by a firmware release later.
Battery life is about 3 hours but they come with a charging case that can charge them 5 times. Charging does not take long

The real kicker however is they don't use standard ear plugs and have custom sleeves that fit 80% of people. Most people do not have problem with this however I have always had issues finding good fits for ear plugs. I did get a OK fit by cutting the large sleeves (that come with the device) and cutting down some cheap aliexpress ear plugs

So how would I rate them. I could not live without them anymore but I tend to use them for the gym or while I am at my desk and don't want to be bugged.
I have also had a few people ask what they are while using them :)

I am happy I got them via Kickstarter as the $299 US price tag (and out exchange rate) does not make them cheap (around $420 NZ). As they are over the $400 you might get hit with GST and Custom fees when you try to bring them in.

I use the Jabra Sports Coach. These are the only wireless earphone I've used that have not fallen out once while running. They have these wing attachment things that look weird and take a while to get used to but are supremely comfortable. The only thing for me is they are perhaps not as bassey as I would like but I'm still impressed with what they do put out. Certainly good enough for water resistant non falling out ear phones... Oh battery life around the 6 hour mark and comes with a nice soft case.
