joker97: "for the past two weeks I have been sleeping about 3 hours a night until I just can't sleep anymore. Then I am up and miserable for the rest of the sleeping time - and then its time for work."  -> consider ENT specialist

Had my first semi full nights sleep last night - went to bed at 10pm, up at 1am, 3.30am and 5.30am but was able to roll over and go back to sleep (or get up to toilet and then sleep)

Today my nose is 90% clear and what is 'blocked' is what I would consider a normal winters issue.

I'll keep on the meds I am on for a week, then stop and see what happens.
I am a little worried about what has caused this but now have another weapon in the fight.

Another update - on Saturday I got a bleeding nose which is a side effect of the medication but not enough to get worried about (I have factor 8 meaning my blood doesn't clot as quickly, so bleeding noses can be a pain when I get them). My right side of my nose will block randomly at night still even though I am sleeping on left, but will make a follow up appointment for the end of the week to see what could be causing that
