Ok, so I have had it for some time now...

It is really good. Battery life of eight months is the plus really. Step counting is pretty close to the Fitbit Surge I was wearing at the same time. The watch is light but beware the hands are manually "adjusted" to a zero position (using a wheel in the app to drive them around) when you first start it but I found they drift a little bit over the month. The silent alarm is good but not as strong as the Fitbit ones and you can't stop it once it start - you have to let it go the 12 "buzzes".

I am using it 100% of the time now. I was also sent the Activite (the Swiss made one with leather strap) to compare, but I have been in Sydney for the last couple of days so I haven't had the chance to use it yet.

Been using the Activite for a few days now, instead of the Pop. It feels really nice, the leather strap is smooth, and it comes with a rubber one for when exercising (which I used today when playing football with my daughter). The hands are metal and thinner, it overall looks really nice.

I bought mine 3 months ago and have been very pleased with it. My wife has also been impressed and there is a pink one on order.

I've also bought the scales (the goal being to lose a few pounds) and that really has added to the experience. Having the graph of measurements makes tracking weight loss (or gain) dead easy and you can see the effect that yesterdays ice cream had!

I ordered the Activité and it was dead on arrival (not so smart for an expensive watch) but the supplier has paid for the shipping to return it so hopefully I'll have a new one soon.

Can it really tell if you are asleep or not?
Could it tell if I am lying in bed asleep or lying in bed awake listening to the other half snore his head off?
Would I finally have definitive proof that he is robbing me of hours of sleep?
Information that I would share with him in a loving and caring way of course!

The sleeping tracking as pretty accurate (the same with Fitbit devices too).

I had Fitibit for a while, and the Fitbit Aria scales. The only problem with the Withings is the lack of friends to compare... Add me if you want (link in previous page).

Suspect a sound recording might be more useful, or ear plugs!

Sent the other half off to Noel Leeming today to get me one (an anniversary present for the weekend) but they haven't got any.
I suppose it will have to be diamonds again, yeah right!

OK, I didnt get diamonds, but I did get the watch!
Shame I cant get it setup though on my Z2.

The app detects the watch, but when it tries to activate all I get is a message saying "An internet connection is necessary, please activate your data or try again later".
I have an internet connection, I just installed the app with it via wifi.
Does it specifically need a cellular internet connection? Which would be a poo as I get sod-all Vodafone signal at my house.
With todays weather, no signal at all.

Did anyone else have this problem?

It uses whatever is available. Do you have any anti malware or blocking software perhaps?

A small amount of progress.
Somehow my email address got a space added to the end of it in the phone app settings.
Now I can get past the activate bit. So a completely misleading error message.
The next step is upgrading the watch.
But it fails here now.
"An unexpected error occurred. Please try again" In tiny letters "SocketTimeoutException"

I cant even get far enough for the time to update, or for the app to permanently recognise the watch.
Each time I go into the app I am having to restart the installation all over again.
I have even restarted the phone but this does not help.

Now it seems to randomly fail at either the activating or upgrading stage of the setup process.

Any ideas? The help on the website doesn't seem to have any info on this.

Edit : A few minutes later...
I only got as far as upgrading twice.
Mostly it fails at activating.
The small writing underneath the main error message is "FatalWebserviceException"
Does this mean anything?

The email address is probably the keyboard adding this.

Are you connected to WiFi? Can you visit the Withings website and login there to see if it's all working? Perhaps your ISP is having problems?
