Have removed an unnecessary and unwelcome post. The OP is asking for recommended product suppliers, not opinions on the pros/cons of vaping.

Please keep posts on topic folks.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

I tried the 18mg tobacco flavour ones, not sure what one. It was enough to out me off vaping. Not sure if I was doing it wrong but have me a terrible cough. And I'm 20 plus a day Rollie smoker. Tried my son's non nictine one much more palatable.

I ended up supplying tobacco companies with an assortment of chemical additives which apparently made the flavour of tobacco more palatable, I find the concept of adding something to vaping stuff to make it taste like tobacco a bit strange.  I suspect they're adding stuff to vaping stuff to make it taste like tobacco that's had stuff added to it so i doesn't taste like tobacco, but like a cigarette or flavoured tobacco.  A good cigar tastes like tobacco.

For that I would recommend something with a bigger battery - for example the Innokin Endura T22 Kit which is a mouth to lung hit still, bigger tank (so requires refilling far less often) and for not much more. Should be able to get a full day and a bit more from that.

Having more nicotine is quite harsh but I would say you also had one with more PG (Propylene Glycol) that has more of a throat hit. For a start I would recommend having ~30% PG, ~70% VG with most mods out there. This will generate a subtle throat hit and also shouldn't make you cough.

Another thing to consider is having the wattage of your unit turned up too high. For a common 1.6ohm device you're looking at around 12-14w max. I've seen people try and drive their units as hard as possible without a suitable coil. It just takes time but I encourage you to start with 12mg with one of the starter units I've quoted above.

TBH, I don't get why would you want to pay 3-4 times more for kits, compared to reputable offshore store. Just for overnight delivery?

the same for Nicotine base + flavours. Most of the time I vape flavourless

My last order was on 5 April for 3 x 100ml NicBase Chemnovatic (arguable best nicotine base out there) + 10ml flavour + DHL delivery for $47.38 NZD

and I order from european shop, they have regulations for that sort of stuff over there now. Which makes it more safe; produced, bottled in EU.

Well, I just ordered the Eleaf 140 and some extra coils. Unfortunately they were out of stock of stainless steel, so went with white. He works a desk job, so plenty of opportunity to top up the charge so smaller battery doesn't worry me too much. I'll get him a USB charger for his car cigarette lighter socket as well.

Also got a sample pack of eliquids (just went for the 10ml bottles, and and can get larger bottles of any he likes). Went for the four flavours @michaelmurphy recommended, plus two tobacco flavoured Rye Reserve and Bourbon Street. Also got a free sample of Pineapple Chunks. Went for 12mg strength.

Thanks for all the advice.

Because it's a hell of a lot easier for beginners.

I vape probably 50-60ml a day... sometimes more (10ml Ohmega BFT at 0.12Ohm 100w). I have a litre of 100mg nic in the freezer, buy concentrates in 120ml bottles, and VG in litres.

I also buy local juice for an occasional change, to support the local industry, as they're usually the ones fighting for our rights to vape.

Yeah, it needs to be easy for him otherwise he won't do it.

Isn't 50-60ml a day a lot?

I'm considering switching from cigs to vaping. Would like some suggestions, Im not a heavy smoker at all.
Firstly id like to spend around $50-$75 for a good vape that will do the trick. Another $40 for a coil and some fluid from what i can tell.

Can someone suggest a good vape? My smoking style is straight lips to lung.. One that lasts a good time on battery. I dont see myself smashing it like some do but just having a five minute go to pass that nic craving. What works out the best for coils and other disposable parts keeping it going in the long run, I see vape pens for $20 but then a coil is almost the same price for that one!

Im unsure what wattage etc i should be looking at, I dont want to cheap out then have to re spend the money in a few months. So one that is adjustable or what every they are called (MOD?) would be good.Juice i suppose is easy but if someone can suggest the ratios with nic etc it would be good! Even just dumping a YT video here that actually informs you rather than showing off vape nation yo!

The almighty interwebs suggest this is a good start for a MOD vape: https://thevapingkiwi.co.nz/eleaf-istick-pico-kit

I also see that one above requires a battery, just the standard high drain ones work? Also for a spare coil what ones do i use here? https://thevapingkiwi.co.nz/eleaf-ec-ml-ceramic-nc-coil-heads

This one is cheaper and same style: https://thevapingkiwi.co.nz/innokin-endura-t22-kit
I read about some 18650 battery that seems to be good, must be universal or last ages.. So maybe i aim for one with that.
I feel that id be better with something configurable. Am i on the right track?
Pens are easier to carry but the mods are larger and look a bit sceney (obvious) if you know what i mean.

@Coil if you want a straight mouth to lung hit then I'd recommend the following (and coincidentally is what I use myself):

Mod: Smok Alien Kit: https://thevapingkiwi.co.nz/smok-alien-kit
Coils: 0.4Ω Q2 Dual Core (operate on about 58w) - https://thevapingkiwi.co.nz/smok-tfv8-baby-coil-heads

For Liquid halve your nicotine so go with 6mg. It'll kill you doing 12mg with this sort of unit. They do generate quite a bit of vapor but nothing too extreme and is a good balance of good taste / vapor reproduction. Also grab a pair of Samsung 18650 batteries.

Coil: I see vape pens for $20 but then a coil is almost the same price for that one!...

....My smoking style is straight lips to lung..

I just got my Dad an Eleaf iCare 140 which is one of the cheaper vape pens for $22.90, and a 5 pack of coils is $6.90. So the coils seem fairly reasonable to me. Can't give you any feedback on it though as I haven't given it to him yet. May not be suitable for you smoking style (I'm not a smoker or a vaper, so really wouldn't know), but just wanted to comment on the coil prices.

No worries, i think i didnt realize that they were in packs of 5! It was sorta ambiguous on the website, Like it would be good if it had a vape builder for newbies!

MM showed me the light and im going to get an alien :D

Here is what i purchased to help others if they are considering one, Even with good info from MM it was a bit confusion to make sure everything was compatible and i had all the right bits. Nothing on these stores seemed straight forward, Unless im over thinking it. What coils? How many ohm? What does it mean? Im still yet to figure this out.

SMOK Alien Kit
Samsung 30Q 18650 3000mAh Battery X2
SMOK TFV8 Baby Coil Heads Type: 0.25Ω M2 Dual Core [+$4.00]
Seemed to be the popular choice and a normal flavor, Nothing over the top.

Another popular one but had an interesting flavor.

Was about $200 all up, Lets hope it was worth it!
