Currently using a Huawei Watch GT2 for MTB, seems to be a reasonable option at a lower price then the Garmin options.

This is my pick from the Garmin collection: Marq Athlete

A lovely looking non-utilitarian, but full-use watch. A snip at $2.5k

Been "running" a Garmin Instinct as my first foray into smart watches since these were released about a year ago.  Was in the right price point compared to the Fenix series and rugged.

Doesn't do everything the Fenix does, but other than the wake up function, happily does the other things you wanted.  Probably fairly similar to the Vivo range I'm guessing.

Seems accurate on HR, can set the zones and train to those.  Syncs with the app nicely including creating workouts and then running to them.  The app will also upload activity data to other apps like Strava etc.
