I'd ordered a couple of things for techie DIY stuff to keep me occupied, but not sure it'll be sent out now (was on back order).

Also obviously won't be having the pergola installed next Monday that was paid for weeks ago, and hope the company supplying it survives through this. I really should get new batteries for the crystal ball.

I could wash the house, I guess. Maybe I'll try to convince the crickets to sit still to practice macro photography?

MikeB4: My has received calls about every 5 minutes or so today. Her work has got busier. I will need to book appointments to talk to her.

How is your wife, Mike? Is her health improving? And yourself, as well as can be expected?

I have also started trying as many Linux distros as I can. Cleaning at my server and storage NAS.

I have also got some kitset aircraft that purchased a few years back but haven't been able to build. My hand mobility has improved to a point where I can try and build them. This will be great physical and mental therapy.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

So many projects where I have been saying “must get on with that”. The only thing is I can probably guarantee that I will make a start and discover I’m missing a show stopping component. Brings a new meaning to the phrase “gardening leave”.

Edit: Could Mitre10/Bunnings, Jaycar and PBTech be considered essential services for the sake of one’s mental health?

I have got 50 litres or so of interior paint.

Inside of house needs a complete coat - except for the kitchen which was going to get a refit and then paint(will be on hold for a while I guess).

Bought the paint just as the humidity wound up in Auckland late last year and its been too hot and humid to even think about. So the timing is not bad - It's cooled somewhat and I will be looking for some chores.

Unfortunately I managed to pull something in my back yesterday (First day of project), but have found a few youtube self help exercises - they actually seem to be helping (fingers X'd) - So I guess I can create a little exercise session every morning.

Have been doing a language class for a while - they are just looking at trying that online from next week - so that's an activity.

Was also thinking that the wife and I should book an online happy hour with friends/family on a Friday maybe.

Also have a few movies/series that I have been saving for the winter.

Got lots of e-books too.

Don't forget folks - if you have a library card, many libraries have e-book rental - so even if they are closed you can still obtain some reading material.

Well there is going to be one hell of a lot of new babies being born in 9 months time that's for sure.

Their great grandparents might be able to say 'OK, boomer' to them when they're playing up.

I’m not falling for that one!!

I don't want to give the idea that it's the only thing I plan to do but I've just been to the liquor store.

Looks like a lot of other people were there before me. The shelves resembled the pasta section at count down.

Makes sense, its a real risk giving credit with uncertainty around whether a company/account holders will be able to make payments during or after the lock down.
