Yoban:

would recommend https://nigelparr.nz/ in Greenlane. Both kids (last one 18mths ago) been to see him for wisdom teeth. Great staff with his wife as practice manager, even have the family dog (chocolate lab) in reception for a calming effect.

Had mine out several years ago by a specialist at Quay Park Surgical Centre. Cost around $900 (I'd imagine it'll cost a bit more now). I wasn't sedated but it was a difficult one to pull out, had the tooth cut into several pieces before it could be extracted. The dentist warned me about 5% risk of nerve damage (it was in lower jaw) and losing feeling in half of my face - I had to sign a waiver. Took me 2 weeks to recover, was on pain killers 24x7 for the first week.

I had mine out for $40 each at the hospital.  Took a few attempts over a few days to ring and book one of the available slots.  I see now it says community service  card holders only, that might just be at the alternative providers clinics?  I didn't need to be one when went last year.
