I was looking at beds today on Thorndon Quay. The service from the guy at Bed R Us was by far the best. Still deciding which bed to buy though as I don't want to spend a fortune

I have a friend that spent $10k on a bed a few years ago that he couldn't get comfortable in. After much arguing it was returned in exchange for a much more modest one that apparently has served him well since.

There's one thing to remember when buying a bed: all the terms given to beds by manufacturers (spine-o-this and posture-that) are really just meaningless, made up marketing jargon. Don't read too much into it.

The wife and I made our bed base.. we bought a super king matress (not a cheap one either) and made the base.

Bought some strong treated timber.. put it together how we wanted it.. couple little bedside tables.. magic..
