You should be so lucky. My practice only allows you to see and book with your registered doctor, typically nothing available for 2-3 weeks. If it's more urgent and you need to see someone, you have to phone up.

Some of these settings I imagine are with the Practice rather than hardwired by MMH. E.g. There have been short occasions where I have been able to see all the doctors, but the default is our registered doctor only.

My practice completely removed the ability to make appointments on the app a few years ago.

Mine has moved from MMH to something called Well, ive signed up but haven't used it yet.

Visited one of the Awanui Labs collection centre today. Looking around the website now, I came across this (seemingly old) advice:

Can I get a copy of my test results?

Via Manage My Health which is available via most medical practices in the Greater Wellington region – ask your doctor for more information on this option

This is how results in Auckland from Awanui Labs (previously LabTests) are made available for quite a while.

A while back, Awanui were reluctant to provide results directly, saying to set up an MMH logon via your GP practice and your results will be available there.

GP practice also did not want to provide results, directing patients to MMH portal.

Yay for MMH :-/

Very poor attitude from GP practice. My Dr has always provided lab results and his interpretation via MMH or now To Mai. Where you are in the range of results is subject to factors that the Lab won't necessarily consider.

Agree. First, my GP doesn't use MMH. Second, all results from lab tests they request are always available through the platform of choice.

Sorry, I should have worded that sentence far better.

What I should have said was the GP practice did not want to provide results, over the phone (due to privacy considerations - are they talking to the actual patient) or via email (admin overhead). They preferred patients to use the MMH portal and to contact the doctor for a follow-up appointment based upon the results. The doctor usually marks the results as normal or we need to have a chat.
