kiwigeek1:
lets face it.. people are influenced by tv marketing
Maybe they should be spending some money promoting Aim so it actually sells?
kiwigeek1:
I dont think a 1 inch row of paste stacked next to the mint brand would be much shelve space
If thats your logic the supermarkets would need to be MUCH bigger, what about that can of Soft drink that only Bill buys, do they have to provide it just for him or the lollies that Sue buys and no one else likes do they have to stock those as well?????
Supermarkets are a business and if a product doesn't sell they stop stocking it. To expect them to stock a low selling item just for a hand full of people is crazy.
If you are about it that much you could always move to a different city.
PackNsave Wairau Road had plenty last month when I bought some.

How do you get the original flavour? I haven't seen that for years! I didn't know it still existed.

Supermarkets are a business and if they don't stock what their customers want the customers may go elsewhere. A business that thinks it is doing people a favour by allowing them to shop there is crazy and won't last long. They need to remember that the customer is always right. This is a basic of customer service. It is pretty arrogant to expect customers to buy whatever you think they should want.

Why is it arrogance to only stock items that are reasonably popular, but it is not arrogance to expect them to stock something that a minority actually want?

This is a silly argument. If customers don't like something, they can and should vote with their feet. No-one owes any business a living.

Supermarkets are doing exactly what you want them to do.
They are stocking what customers want. They discontinue products that don't sell - which customers don't want which is typically dictated to by products that don't sell and replace them with products that do sell. Shelf space is not infinite.

You could vote with you feet but apparently no-one else stocks it either, and that's my point. I think the silly argument is to expect any business to stock product that has a bad enough sales record as to make it uneconomic for them to do so. However I feel that point has been clearly made in this thread, but not accepted. So that's where I get off this bus to nowhere. Good day.

People are not infallible, customers are people therefore the customer is not always right. Also if Supermarkets stock what customers don't want they will not be a business for long. Further more AIM contains Fluoride which has a use by date which means if it is a slow turnover item it poses a risk to the business.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Yea, I didn't realise that until I looked at my own pic.
