I've found it sluggish the past few days, but seemed to be faster again this morning.
Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!
A/B testing randomly using one of two libraries to see which one scans better? :P
My OnePlus 6 on Android 10 hasn't been able to scan at all for the last few days (I presume since the last update). I have emailed support and they seem aware of the issue
My experience has the scanning getting faster (Nokia 6.1, Android 10) with subsequent app updates. Sometimes it's logged while still walking toward or even past the poster often even before squared up in the cross hairs.
One issue I've just noticed when I go back into my diary is some entries are duplicated. I suspect it *might* be related to adding 'Details' with the scan before pressing Done as when I go back one entry has the details I entered, the other does not. I've been manually deleting the entry that doesn't contain the 'Details'. I haven't as yet been paying close enough attention to notice whether it duplicates when no 'Details' are added to the scan.
Be interested to know if the diary is backed up via Google Backup (to Google Drive) which is built into Android 10?

I've also had two different OnePlus phones that can't scan since the last update (1.5.1). I got a similar response when I emailed them.
OnePlus 8 Pro is fine

Not yet. It's listed in the timeline for consideration.
But the moment you do.. division. ARRGHH I've lost all my history resetting or changing phone. What a PITA, I guess that means it's kinda secure storing locally
vs
ARRRGHH they're saving my data somewhere other than my phone as it magically comes back and I have great distrust as I think someone is intercepting it and will use it for tracking etc etc
The app developers defy logic, how hard can it be to make an app that encourages use?!
dafman: Friggn thing logged out when went to scan on crowded train and now no longer an option to scan while logged out. The app developers defy logic, how hard can it be to make an app that encourages use?!
Not very I'd think. I think it's just a case of "design perfection" getting in the way of practical usability.
P.S.
I've found the scanning to be slower and in one case it wouldn't scan after the latest update. This experience is with codes I've scanned previously. You do have to wonder how much testing is carried out before they release an update or in this case a downgrade in usability.

I was like 'huh?'
So manually logged out to check since it was fine previously. Sure enough. Gone from main screen is offline scanning again - lol! Whooops! Did they revert back to a previous and add new features forgetting the ones in the middle
Pay to warn your rellies if they didn't chose to allow device to save details.
At least google smartlock feature still remembered the complex PW for me.
I was interested in your mention of Google saving the Covid password. I have never been able to get it to do that. When it expires I have to go lookup my password in a database. I tried following looking at Smartlock but cannot see anyway I can get it to save the covid name/password. Can you elucidate?
Thanks

Going to sound stupid here.. but I don't actually know :) It may be a Android version/Huawei specific
They released a version at one point to utilise it. And when you next needed to log in - it immediately prompted to ask if you wanted to save it. I chose yes.
Some other devices seem they may trigger it under google settings for auto-fil. Both family member OPPOs also prompted fresh out of box on setting up.

A flush of the app and get the new one to see if it prompts. But you'll lose history, less of a gain for a 30 day thing at this point if your device OS doesn't know how to support prompting it.
Thanks for that. I am on Nokia 7+ and cannot remember it ever asking for an app password to be saved. It does ask if using Chrome Browser. I had a look at Smart Lock settings but no activating password saving there. When you say flush the app I presume you mean uninstall? or something else.

I use LastPass (free version) which appears to remember my COVID app login details. At the app login prompt I tap the LastPass Autofill from the pulldown drawer at the top of the screen and voila!
