Hi,

Trying to get rid of an old scooter with engine woes (cost to repair is more than the scooter is worth) so what would be the best course of action - I live in Lower Hutt. Does anyone know of a place that would take it off my hands? I've had a look on TradeMe and they want to charge minimum of $39 even though I'm wanting to give it away.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions as to how I'll go about sorting it out.

Could take it to porirua and it will dissapear in a matter of minutes.

Bike shop might want it for parts. Same with scooter shop. If its just an alloy engine I don't think a scrap metal man would want much to do with it. The local dump would be the best bet.

Someone would probably take it off you for a fun kids/school project, do the $1 reserve TradeMe with "buy collects" .. it'll go.

Depending on the nature of the problems, I might take it off your hands, if you are trying to give it away. Pm me details if you like, I'm just in Upper Hutt and have transport to remove it promptly.
