AirNZ are now allowing small electronic devices switched to flight to be used during take off and landing on Q300s.

sbiddle: It's more that they've submitted certification to CAA for the type. This was announced last week by Air NZ for the ATR72, Q300 and B1900. The only aircraft in their fleet without certification is the 763.
My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

This topic has gotten way off topic and is probably in breach of the F.U.G.
Perhaps @scottpalmer should lock it.
The worm has turned. It sounds like @sbiddle prefers Airbus these days so he can use his electronic devices at all times.
Cheers, Matt.
