Cant remember posting this but here is my new Can Am Spyder F3 Ltd I picked up a few months ago from JFK in Auckland

Definitely not a toy. Ive been riding spyders since 2010. I ride them as my day to day ride to work as well

This is going to sound harsh, and I really don't mean for it to - I genuinely would like to know the answer.

 

What is the point of a Spyder?

 

To me, as someone who rides every day to work, it seems that it has all the disadvantages of a car (Being wide, taking a full sized car park, unable to filter through traffic etc)
While also having all the disadvantages of a bike (Having to wear leathers etc, getting wet, lack of storage space)

 

Don't get me wrong, I love riding my bike - I am just not sure what I am missing here.
