Hi, daylight savings is over and my commute home on the bicycle is about to get dark.

It's also time to upgrade my bike lights.

I don't need the lights for mountain biking, just something to keep me safe when travelling the busy roads at night, my commute is short, 15 mins max.

I looked on amazon but all the lights I liked wouldn't ship to NZ (I suspect due to the lithium batteries), the NZ retailers want hundreds of dollars, so I looked on aliexpress. Found some that seem to match what I was after at good prices (<$30).

Before I charge the debit card though, I'd like to know the recommendations of other GZers.

Ideally I like to spend up to $50-60 total for both front and rear LED lights. Rechargeable would be nice, but not necessary as I can recharge AAAs or AAs at home. I prefer CREE bulbs. (Are the ones on Aliexpress the real McCoy or wannabes?)

Also do you have recommendations for spoke mounted reflectors, red lights for back packs, reflector vests or helmet reflectors?

I'm tired of car drivers only looking out for cars and then cutting across in front of me almost wiping me out, I want to be visible and have my kids confident that dad will make it home each night.
