Hi,its my first post on this site and it looks like i've found an awesome site.I have bought a second hand head unit Domain DM-DV5662NVU and when it first powers on a nice picture comes up then it goes straight to the calibration screen.I followed the instructions in which you hold the stylus for two seconds and follow it around the screen doing the same two second press on each stop,it then says if you would like to save these changes tap the screen.I tap the screen then this message appears "application error CE4E01.exe encountered a serious error and must shut down" and there is where it stays and is very very frustrating,any help is hugely appreciated..Evan.

Sorry for not giving an answer, but had to comment that's interesting to see there are Windows CE units still in the wild.

Did you get it brand new or second hand? Did you install it yourself? Was a full reset done during install?

I agree best would be to contact the distributors.

Hi Scrumpy,

What was your outcome on this?

I am getting the exact same error message. The only difference is that the head unit has been installed and working perfectly for the last couple years and it only happened out of the blue.

My personal experience. I've had Domain unit installed, lasted just over a year, then gave out, screen stopped responding to touches, not turning on via button or remote.

Had another unit installed in dads car, same deal, worked great for 1.5 years, then gave out, same deal. They use SD card for GPS, which was also corrupt. Ah well, hence they are cheaper then most brands such as SONY, PIONEER units.

I would stay away from Domain head units for time being.

I went and visited Soundtech on Saturday morning.

The owner did an update using an SD card he had plugged into the head deck, now everything is back to normal.

He said the cause is hard to determine but most units go their entire lives without having this issue (not sure what the lifespan is supposed to be from reading the comments above!)

He didn't charge me for it either.
