Can anyone tell me what this is on the display of my 2012 CX5?

The green bat turns blue sometimes, and sometimes the bar disappears completely and two grey bars appear on the right side momentarily , google translate tells me its something about a score?

I am guessing it could be something to do with fuel economy but I cant make sense of it. The picture of the steering wheel and gas pedal also add to the confusion.

Surely the handbook would cover this? I owned a CX-5 until recently but have never seen anything similar to what you describe.

Our 2010 Premacy has an "ECO" indicator on the dash, which tells us when we're driving "economically" - could be something along those lines.

The japanese translates to

"This time score" - blank

Then

"Average" 4.3

It looks like one of those "eco" driving detectors that works out how efficient your driving is, based on a whole bunch of things,

The "average" might be straight fuel economy, but might just be a "magic" number Mazda invent...

Google "intelligent drive master" until you find something corresponding to your model. White bad, green eco good blue more spirited but ok.

IDM is JDM only indicator of "how good" the driver is. Not available in NZ/AU version. Good drivers never use it afaik.

Depending on the model these might be interesting for a geek:

CX5 didn't get mzd connect until 2015ish facelift.

The older CX5 is more flexible, as you can just put in any double din unit you want.

Mine is the facelift and I've done the Carplay mod. Its easy enough but carplay takes a good 30+ seconds to load.
