Back in the office after a few hours, and the battery indicator is now at 4/5 (earlier I said 1/8th, but I have since actually looked at the scooter to see the battery is divided into 5)
I am sitting at 115kg, which is why I looked at a scooter that had a weight limit higher than that (I was looking at the Ninebot ES4 before I saw its max payload of 100kg). I have come to understand that max range on a scooter is advertised much like petrol usage in a car - under very strict conditions that don't really echo real world at all) but I would have thought I would get 20km out of a scooter charge.
I haven't yet moved off speed 2 - I am thinking mode 3 might be a little dangerous given the nature of most roads and footpaths in the area.
Maybe I need to send Freed an email..
