chevrolux: Lately have been really regretting selling my toy - my handle on this forum is from it!
Had a Toyota Hilux 4x4 and got a bit sick of the 2
4 diesel so went a but silly and put a Chevy 350 in it, hence the 'chevrolux' was created.
After that I got rid of the 33" tyres and went to 35" as well as doing all the clearance related things like widening the wheel arches, shaving the bottom of the diff's etc. Was amazing off road and just as good on the road. Not the quickest off the line but it was so much fun screaming past a skyline with an enormous ute.

most of the clowns who fit big brake kits to their cars would be better off investing in some decent tyres.

Yep. The tyres are the only point of contact, and therefore the limiting factor in braking. All the brake sit he world are no use if the tyres start to lock up.
The only down side is that high grip tyres not only cost more but seem to wear faster. Especially if you do a lot of km's on winding roads.
