Hmm, One would assume he is implying cyclists need running over too. Hmmm, How many points again for a 3 abreast 6 long?
That i wouldnt wish injury on anyone but they do get a little bit in the way..

*Additional edit: They might get out the way when i come through with the euro-drift-barge.

They only get in the way because Auckland isn't exactly built to support cyclists...They are a huge pain on my route and 9 times out of 10 think they own the road...Just last week one pulled out in to the middle of the road without looking while I was traveling at 45KM/h. Luckily my foot was already on the brake preparing for a red light at a pedestrian crossing and JUST missed him...He may have gone under otherwise.

I always get the idiot darting across the road with his arm out "Signalling" without looking anywhere. Almost cleaned one up on my bike. Not to mention people walking across blind corners and i come flying around. Not to worry. Just as much as an issue when i launch from the lights and a red light runner is coming through.

This is one of the biggest problems in Auckland...My top three would probably be knowledge of proper round-a-bout entering/existing, following distance and indication.

When I see people merge, be it the motorway or Great North Road, it's *click* *click* and then across. Sometimes it's halfway across and then *click* *click* and sometimes nothing!

I don't know how more people aren't dying. Are most drivers just crazy stupid with good reflexes, preventing serious accidents? Or are we just so accustomed to the behavior it's OK for everyone to be stupid as long as you look out for other stupid people being stupid?

I personally drive like everyone else is an idiot. If my foot isn't on the accelerator, it's on the brake.

I got a heap of monday-madness footage on the dash camera yesterday.. reminds me, didn't pull the not indicating exit like mentioned - leared at me for starting to enter the roundabout without knowing they were going to come at me..

I had an elderly couple STOPPED in the middle of the lane to look at the buildings being worked on, forgetting the car behind them
Then a redlight camera running audi (so hope it was recording)
A lane drifter (no indicating) and shortly after another redlight runner
Then another red turn runner that just about peeled some kids over who were crossing on their cross signal
Then a motorbike doing wheelies off the lights
2 SUVs that tail gated (was just over limit!), then went around me only to cross infront and use the damn motorway exit anyway!
Soon followed by said roundabout lear-age

All in the space of 2hrs :)

Found this pleb on Friday abusing one of my favorite cars...

The idiot was smoking it up in front of rush hour traffic on the corner of Wolverton street and Miranda with a group of his goon sheep trying to be cool.

He over-cooked his little burn out, almost curbing the poor thing on the opposite side of the road narrowly missing a pedestrian on her ipod (oblivious to what was happening, or didn't care enough to think she may be hit by the guy)

I called the police, but this is how the conversation went:

"This is definitely something we are interested in, but you need to report it online."

- "But it's happening now...Right now. In front of me. A pedestrian almost became part of a metal pole"

"...You need to report it online."

Awesome.

I've caught a whole bunch of bad driving on my dash cam. I wonder if the cops can use the footage to ticket the registered owner (like speed camera infringements). Otherwise, the standard reponse would be "Wasn't me".

Theres 2 dash camera FB pages for NZ for sharing such halarity. One a few friends and I manage and add local content to. And another with bigger base that more often than not has overseas stuff shared.
