I've got a 2012 Hilux SR5 Double Cab 4x4 Auto.

All the toys are in a single touch screen head unit, so it looks a bit sparse compared to the Ranger, but it does as much or more than the Ranger.

The head unit can be swapped out if it breaks or replaced with an after market unit, where as it's all built into the dash in the Ranger, so you're stuck.

I use an iPhone with it. Bluetooth etc all works okay. Voice control can be a bit iffy sometimes. Obviously likes being sworn at, as she always says "please repeat" when I swear at it.

When you put it in reverse the touch screen displays the rear camera. My Hilux doesn't have the GPS enabled, but I gather the current model does.

Small top LED screen displays either outside temp, compass, or fuel computer, plus a clock.

Not a lot of toys for $65,000, but I mainly bought it for its off road capability, and for that it's brilliant. It's also really comfortable and quiet on the open road.

Just hear Rutherford and Bond in WN advertising the latest 4x4 Hilux at $9k off ($44k or so I think) . Guess they are trying to keep sales up until the new model arrives later in the year.

rokki: Also why not consider Mazda BT-50 same as Ranger plus $200 subsidised servicing.

I have a mazda ute and it has quite high road noise. The benefits of toyota, is that they come in petrol, while other brands only come in diesel, which has road user charges.
