gzt:

Malls are stingey with parking room anyway. Always trying to squeeze in the maximum number of spaces possible to get the most customers on busy days.

If people would stop taking trucks into carparks then it wouldnt be such an issue. Make the people with prados and similar park miles away in special larger parks.

kiwigull11: That's why all car parks should have diagonal parking as in most places in the States. I've never
understood why they don't... so simple it's (almost) fool proof!

If driving-related tasks need to be made foolproof, then too many fools are allowed to drive.

They are already, that's the point!

Another example of fools driving is the trailer parks at bunnings frequenly have cars in them with no trailers. Last weekend there was on in there that was in the middle of the park, so a second car couldnt fit if they wanted to.

They need to get one of those self parking cars. Think Hyundai do them. The self parking car will likely become standard in new cars in the not to distant future.

gzt: 2014 Toyota. Probably a new owner in a new car. Yeah it's bad but does not look like the easiest rear view either. +Tints.

Nothing to do with the type of car. The drive has a fundamental lack of understanding as to what the cars does when you turn the wheel while in reverse. You could put her in any other car and she'll make the same mistake.

Also gets pretty close to the other car when reversing so they are either a braille parker or they have a rear camera (more likely).

They were one movement away from being parked on 2 occasions and then just gave up.

joker97: yours has got nothing on this

After seeing all that, I'm amazed that she managed to navigate the carpark exit in one go...

Bad form to dent a car and then just leave. Too bad he/she wasn't stopped and called out on it, not like he/she made a quick getaway.

BTW: Why "she"? We don't see the driver, do we?

So many amazing parts to this one. The mind boggles. Mind you, it was probably in the United States of Stupidity, so...

If I recall, someone involved with originally providing the video referenced it as a 'she' based on footage prior to the start of the video (i.e. seeing who got in/out). I could be remember incorrectly though.

Apparently not. Saying "she" wasn't conscious on my part.

Certainly a lot better than the $39 one I got from red alert.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_4mrtYSerc

It was set to 1080, but records interpolated 720 and has such poor light sensitivity.

I took it out that night because the streetlights were out for about the 4th night in a row. Audio removed because it was music and that makes youtube unhappy.

what ?

michaelmurfy did not understand how they had a license

So you are saying in Australia you can 'buy' a licence?

No, if you read what I wrote, they get a license in their own country, and then use that to drive in another. Most places you have a year on your foreign license. How else do you explain the problems around auckland with immigrant drivers who are taking cars of a lot never having driven themselves before?

OK I need to get my head around this. It is very bad car control but how do you know she is not Australian?

i googled "Australia day celebration melbourne photos"

clicked on the first link http://www.australiaday.vic.gov.au/news/image-gallery/
