I replaced my cabin filter on Monday - it was still on the original at 95k km's (suggested replacement is every 12k).
Presumably will take a little while for that to make any kind of difference, but I did notice that the fan was able to blow a little better (the filter was incredibly grubby), if nothing else.

Interesting theory of the leaking pipe- I hope it's not that, given the amount of effort required to clean it. If it was, I probably wouldn't go through all the effort to pull out all the chairs etc. to clean it. 

I will take a look at Meguiars products and see how that goes, might go pick one up this weekend. My car only really gets driven on the weekends now, since I've moved to town. So I will try remember to describe what the smell is like when I drive it this weekend, once I've had a refresher!

From what I do remember, one would probably describe it as slightly sweet... I've just asked my flatmate as well and she's having a hard time describing it too. Her exact response was "Slightly musky, sweet.. but the musk is faint though." - Whatever the hell that means 

In all fairness though, its a hard one to describe, not entirely unpleasant, but also not entirely pleasant either haha. I've got an indecisive smell in my vehicle.
