Quite a few years back I had to remove the tint from the front driver's side & passenger side windows.  The tint was easy to remove but the glue was still on the windows.  I physically removed the windows and poured 'Lectra Clean' over them, I was then able to scrape and rub the glue off fairly easily and get the windows nice and clean.  I reinstalled the windows and had zero mess in the car - was pretty easy overall.
