A good deal is the perception of the buyer. A good deal to me might not be one to you. It takes time to find a car, Don't be too icky but dont be too laid back. The only thing you get out of an AA test is less money in your pocket. Take it to a qualified workshop. (I am not going to bash AA guys today but sheesh)
Sit on trademe and autotrader, set your budget, see whats available. History is worth more than low KMS.
A good workshop will tell you if you have a good price or not.
