Short term temporary fix: Drop a few pool chlorine crystals into each cell - ¼tsp each.

Definitely and absolutely do not do the above!!!!

Done it many times.

just like people that fall off forklift forks from a height. They’d being tempting death for years.

It's a box with 2 alligator clips that does some pulsing voodoo into the battery.

Nah, most people know gravity hurts. It is more like keeping an unlabelled jar of 1080 in your pantry. There is no good reason to do it and it is a latent danger waiting to harm someone.

LOL. On a lighter note - sorta - reminds me of the last time I built a house for my wife and myself. I'd used my faithful old tin builders shed to store all my gear onsite.

When the house was liveable, my wife gave me a hand to move the shed's contents into the house, so I didn't notice that she'd moved an Optrex bottle from the shed into the bathroom cabinet.

If I had seen her do it, I would have remembered that I'd used the bottle to store some fibreglass fixative.

So, when I needed to rinse my eyes...well, you can imagine what happened.

Fortunately I was in the bathroom when I did it, so I managed to get my eye under a tap fairly quickly.

However, even forty years later, that eyelid and oil glands still don't work properly.

Maybe I'll try and find a wrecker's battery :-)

What is the actual chemical reaction that happens when you do this? And what kind of pool chlorine? As there is 5 different types. Im mainly trying to understand the theory behind this. The only search results I have been able to find so far are based on either salt or salt water.
