Or if you are close to a pick-a-part or any Euro wreckers you could pick up one pretty cheap, you probably won't get much of a warranty but it'll get you going without spending the big bucks.
The factory battery(DIN75) is rated at 800CCA, so you will need a similar sized fully charged battery in good condition and a decent set of battery jumper leads. Most of the jumper cables you buy have more plastic that copper in the leads(all show and no go!).
From memory the battery is between the engine and windscreen? A better alternative could be to remove the old battery and fit the jumper battery as a temporary measure. DIN batteries are lower than standard batteries, so DON'T CLOSE THE BONNET!
As the car has been in storage for some time it could take quite a bit to get the engine to run. You will need fresh fuel. Is the fuel pump working?
When I jump start a car, I leave the engine running, I connect the ground to ground, then connect the positive to positive, once you connect the positive you should hear your engine labour as the alternator is now trying to charge the flat battery, as is your battery.
The correct method for connecting jumper leads is to connect positive to positive and then connect the grounds through some metalwork on the car, not to the battery terminals. There is always a chance of hydrogen gas around a battery or a fault and you don't want a battery to explode in your face.

Not advisable to run it without a battery after a jump but may be possible. If you're just moving it in the drive and the other battery doesn't fit you could jury-rig a setup with your jumper leads but you'd have to be really careful about unintended shorts. Not long ago encountered a vehicle that wouldn't jump even off a police ute with a large battery, had to put in a new battery.
As somebody else has said, the amount of copper in the jumper leads is important.
Cheap leads have not very much, so often can't crank via the leads alone. You need to wait 10 mins to charge the flat battery with engine revving in donor car (requires flat battery to hold charge). Heavy gauge jumper leads, especially with a larger engines or diesel donor seem capable of starting a car with a flat battery without any wait at all, so I assume they would start a car where the battery isn't holding charge.

Had a faulty battery that refused to hold charge. Got to the point where I couldn't jump start it either from a jump pack or another car. Have also had another one that drained past the point where it could be charged on a normal charger. Had to be force charged at the battery shop before it could be put on a conditioning charger.

It may be that the required terminals are only fitted to a limited range of batteries. The oem CCA may be taking into allowance European and North American areas that get heavy snow. In a mild climate you don't need 800CCA just to keep a car in a garage. There may be a cheaper battery that will fit. I know that the battery fitted to our car is 2/3 the physical size of the battery in the same vehicle sold in US.
Another attempt pushing it this morning, 2 neighbours and a courier van driver got the car back inside.
I also had a concern last night. The battery is between the engine and the windscreen. The battery might be flatter but wider which if I used a Toyota battery temporarily the cables might not reach the terminals .....

Yep, my experience was the same, it was a car that was used a few times a week at the most & an interior light had been left on. And I was using a good quality jump pack & it was no go.
