Prices for service range from $400-700!

We are not talking about the invincible Toyota here.

With your Audi you don't want to take it to a $400 place that has no idea how to maintain an Audi.

Having said that, paying $700 does not guarantee that they will!

I think you should focus mainly on whether they know what they're doing, and ignore the price ... !

Is this the S4 you've been drooling over?

Just called them @wally22 and they quoted $750 for the basic service plus said it would need brake fluid replaced @ $200 and new pollen filter at $150!!!

Here’s another one I just found:

http://www.cookeuropean.co.nz/services/

Not quite central but maybe worth knowing about. They have a pick up and drop off service.

I use Cook for my Volvo - have used them in the past for my Audi, VW and Opel cars that I once owned.

They're very good, won't charge you for anything without first consulting and are definitely worth considering.

That said, it's not always cheap owning an ageing Euro, so as always...brace yourself.

Brodie European just about only do VW group cars Audi/VW/Skoda/Seat etc

I've used them a few times for my now older A3 and Golf's DSG services and Cambelt replacements. I do all the easy regular servicing myself.

They certainly know their stuff and several times have suggested I simply do certain jobs myself to save some $$. Their prices aren't too bad either, much cheaper than the Audi or VW dealers.
