sonyxperiageek: Just bought the WiperTech blades with the 10% off coupon. Will see how they go!

Hey @sonyxperiageek I'm currently looking at replacing my Wiper Blades and was wondering how you found the WiperTech ones?

I've used Repco Hydro & Trico Force blades before - both were decent, the Trico slight better but I feel both suffered from being a bit chunky and getting picked up by the wind when driving up around 100kph, especially into a strong headwind.

Have seen these Wipertech blades advertised too and was wondering about trying them out but not really sure if they will be any better than the Trico ones. Would be keen to know how you find them.

Hi guys, sorry for the late reply, been overseas.

Simply put, they still squeak at times. Have washed the windscreen and wiper blades but still the same. So still not sure where I can actually get non-squeaking wiper blades at the moment.

Make windscreens great again

I 'invested' (cause lets face it, its not cheap) https://www.repco.co.nz/en/brands/rainx/rain-x-washer-fluid-additive-500ml/p/A1254989

After quite a few window/glass cleaner remedies. I ended up doing a few cleans with maguires glass polish, steelo pad. Rain-x treatment And then threw this in the washer tank

(made a mess when the car servicing decided to top up my water and change 3.60 for a cleaner that reacted badly with it.. but thats another story)

The normal window application doesn't seem to last long or have as much cover. But this basically negates the need for wipers. What does land on it, beads to tiny droplets. And either you can see through it or the more there/faster roads the more sheds off

And has the added effect of letting the wipers glide across and do an epic 1 wipe dry at same time

Yes, have used WiperTech blades a few times. No better than quality blades available locally, but much better than the cheap rubbish you can get. Had fitment issues for the rear blade with one of our cars, they resent the same type out, which still didn't fit, so got a partial refund and they no longer sell the rears for that. Overall, would use again, but would check local pricing for comparison.

Hmmm , I got mine from aliexpress for $30 that included the rear wiper as well, they look exactly the same as the WiperTech blades. Had no issues at all with mine and do a fantastic job.

Your opinion may change once the initial application wears off & the windshield turns into bathroom glass.    You'll be reapplying it every two weeks from there. :P

Rain-X is also extremely difficult to remove without an angle grinder. lol
