Correct and there usually is another vehicle nearby in my experience.
I'd venture most people wouldn't bother checking the charge condition of the portable jump starter's battery on a regular basis. How many people regularly check the inflation of their spare tyre. Not a very large percentage I'd wager. Two flat batteries gets you nowhere.
The most likely cause of a flat battery is something like the lights being left on and I'd very much doubt in these situations the Super Capacitor variants would get enough out of the battery to provide enough juice to start the vehicle.
What I'm trying to say is no matter which jump start method you use there are times it will not be a workable option. For my money a good set of jumper leads is still the best option.

correct but if you were a single female, alone, how comfortable would you feel approaching someone for a jump? ive been called on a few occasions by someone i know because they had a flat battery and they didnt feel comfortable asking for help. this was also in a busy carpark.

I agree re the single female, alone but I come back to what I said before. How many people will ensure the portable pack is properly charged? Unless there is a regular reminder to check, it'll be out of sight out of mind. It'll be tucked away, out of the way, probably in the spare tyre cavity if there's space there. The last time it will have been checked is likely to have been when it was new.
What happens when the flat battery is due to the lights being left on?
If the portable pack is flat or there is no charge to juice up the super capacitor device you still need to ask for help.

The lithium ones hold their charge for months without problems. Not like the crappy lead acid ones that seem to always be flat when needed.
Charge it up at the same time you check the other stuff on the car and no big deal. Or leave it plugged into the lighter so its always got power available to top up when the sells drop enough. But I have yet to see the one I had ever go below 3 out of 4 lights with normal use. Only time it went to nothing was using the powerbank part of it in a power cut.
