Is the car really broken or operator error ?

OK, the local Ford service centre said yesterday that the TCM unit (Transmission Control Unit) is faulty and a replacement has been ordered from Auckland.

Now it appears that it will need to come from overseas and will take "10 days or more", so we have lent our friend our second car and she is now on her way back to Rotorua.

We will have to wait and see what eventuates.
