On the positive, it’s only 2/3 the RRP of a Suzuki e Vitara.

I’ve yet to see an e Vitara in the wild and suspect I will be waiting even longer to see one of these.

Eva888:
Linux: interesting looking vehicle for sure!

That was very polite. Ugly was the first word that came to mind.

At least it isn't fugly like a 2011-2017 Leaf. It is more at the Ignis end of the scale.

I am excited about more japanese EVs coming on the market. That price though kinda sucks, wish it was closer to the JDM price.

Had a look at a new GWM Ora 5 yesterday. On every metric it betters the Honda by significant margin and it is $5k cheaper.

Outside of die-hard Honda fans, I think it will be a case of not-so-Super-One at launch prices.

If it doesn't sell well and they do deep discounts I might pickup my first EV!

NZ price is $41,900 + ORC

Japan is 3,390,200 yen, less 10% tax is 3,082,000 @90 yen/NZD that's $34,200 +15% GST = $39,380 ,

$2.5 K difference,

For a shipped car to NZ it's pretty close to par with Japan prices

This is why the Japanese car industry is in trouble. I mentioned the new GWM Ora 5 as a comparison - a larger more comfortable car, significantly higher feature set, almost twice the range of the Honda yet with near identical energy efficiency, and is $5k lower in price.
